Overview

Travel Hub Scheme, Costessey

Norfolk County Council and the Transport for Norwich (TfN) partnership are asking for feedback on a series of proposed improvements to Dereham Road in Costessey, between Grays Fair and Gurney Road.

These proposals aim to speed up public transport and improve conditions for walking and cycling along this key transport route.

They also include a proposal for a new centrally located Travel Hub (situated just east of the Wendene Roundabout) where the public can access shared mobility services such as car club and beryl bikes, alongside local bus services.

The scheme is broken down into three main sections from west to east.

The documents below detail exactly what we’re proposing and why and the 3 accompanying plans show what the project could look like on the ground.

These proposals would be funded by the Department for Transport’s Transforming Cities Fund, which can only be spent on highway network improvement.

After reviewing the proposals below please answer the questions in the online survey on the following page.

What happens next

The deadline for consultation responses is Wednesday 30 November 2022We will then carefully consider all responses and report back to the Transport for Norwich Joint Committee later in the year.

The project web page www.norfolk.gov.uk/derehamroad will be kept up to date with the latest information.
