Closes 1 Apr 2025

Opened 7 Mar 2025

Overview

The Norfolk County Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of this Order will be to:

1.    consolidate The Norfolk County Council (North Runcton) (30 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 1996 whereby the 30 mph speed limit on the existing lengths of road specified in that Order will not be changed (apart from the C62 New Road which is extended as per the length below) and:

2.    vary the current Order by removing the existing reference to the C62 New Road and prohibiting any motor vehicle from exceeding 30 miles per hour along the following length of road:

i)    C62 New Road - From the centreline of its junction with the U22025 Common Lane northwards to its junction with the A47 Constitution Hill.

This is an extension to the current 30 mph by 122 metres to meet its junction with the A47, which is currently subject to the National Speed Limit.

The officer dealing with the public enquiries concerning these proposals is Ms A Copeman and can contacted by telephone 0344 800 8020.
