Norwich On Street Electric Vehicle Charge Points
Overview
Norfolk County Council is preparing to introduce parking arrangements to support existing on-street electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints in Norwich. We are asking people who live near the chargepoints, and others who may be affected, to comment before the proposed Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) is introduced.
Before these arrangements are formally introduced, we are carrying out a pre‑consultation to gather comments from residents living closest to the new chargepoints.
At locations with more than one existing EV chargepoint, the proposal is to apply the EV-only restriction to one pair of parking bays.
An ETRO allows the Council to put the restrictions in place on a trial basis, monitor how well they work for the community, and review feedback before deciding whether they should become permanent.
At this early stage, we are inviting your initial thoughts before the ETRO is implemented. Your feedback will help shape the experimental arrangements.
You will be able to provide additional feedback on any proposed restrictions during the main ETRO constultation, which will be held at a later date.
