Your views on new bike share bays in Norwich
Overview
The Beryl bike share scheme which launches March 2020 will introduce a publicly available bike sharing scheme across the Greater Norwich area including the implementation of around 70 dedicated bike bays.
Four of these bays are located on a road which means that traffic regulation orders need to be in place. These bays will be located on Gloucester Street, St Benedicts Street, Upper St Giles and Unthank Road. You can see their exact locations on the maps below.
In this case we are putting into place experimental traffic regulation orders. What this means is that the bike share bays will be put in place now for a trial period of 12 months. This gives people an extended period to give us their feedback on the bays.
Please find more detailed plans and links to the experimental traffic regulation orders at the bottom of this page.
This scheme is being delivered by Transport for Norwich using money awarded from the Department for Transport's Transforming Cities fund.
