Norfolk County Council Local Transport Plan 4 (2020- 2036)

Closed 9 Nov 2020

Opened 28 Sep 2020

Overview

We want your views on the draft of our next Local Transport Plan and the policies we have included. The current Local Transport Plan for Norfolk was agreed in 2011. Since that time there have been many changes to the way that people travel, and how much. Technology has meant that we are now increasingly able to live our lives without the need to travel, for example using online resources such as internet shopping. The way we travel is also changing, with more information and more technology being built into vehicles and more options such as car clubs and bike share schemes. Norfolk County Council has also recently adopted an environmental policy to work towards ‘carbon neutrality’ by 2030. The impact of Covid-19 on the way we work, travel, and socialise is still emerging and evolving as we, as a society, emerge from the pandemic.

Why your views matter

We will use your feedback to help us make sure our Local Transport Plan has chosen the policies that best reflect local people’s current and future priorities for transport to help us shape the future transport provision in Norfolk. The full draft is available to dowload at the bottom of this page, alongside the Strategic Environment Assessment, which has been conducted for this plan. The chapters and policies have been summarised in the questionnaire below, along with 7 questions.

The consultation runs for six weeks from 9am Monday 28th September to 9am Monday 9th November.
