Update

On 27 July 2023, Sara Tough, in her role as LA Decision-Maker, made the school organisation determination outlined below following the statutory public notice period:-

To extend the age range at Necton VA Primary School from 4 - 11 to 2 –11 years, from 1 September 2023

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Governing Body is proposing to change the age range at Necton VA Primary School from 4 - 11 years to 3 – 11 years, from 1 September 2023. The published admission number (PAN) for the main school will not be affected by these proposals.

As part of this consultation, we are also seeking views about provision for children aged 2 and above.

Necton VA Primary School currently has an age range of 4 – 11.  The proposal to admit children of age 3 into a Nursery Foundation Stage. Provision is being considered due to the closure of many providers in the area in recent months.  The Governing Body wish to ensure that there are high quality educational experiences available to meet the needs of children in our community.  There will be no material alterations to the places offered for 4 years olds at the school as a result of the age range change.
