Overview

Joint Consultation on proposed variation to Admissions Arrangements;

Proposed Catchment area changes from 1 September 2026 for Corpusty Primary School, Reepham Primary School and Astley Primary School.

In light of the recent announcement by Synergy Multi Academy Trust (Synergy) to amalgamate Corpusty Primary School with Reepham Primary School, it is necessary to update local school catchment areas to reflect that the Corpusty site will no longer be used for mainstream provision, transferring education to the Reepham site.  

It is proposed that the Corpusty Primary School catchment area will not be allocated in its entirety to the remaining amalgamating school (Reepham Primary School). The area will instead be shared across two nearby schools to support fairness, sustainability of pupil numbers, and access to local schools for children and families. The schools involved are: 

- Corpusty Primary School, Norwich Road, Corpusty, Norfolk, NR11 6QG, Synergy Multi Academy Trust  

- Reepham Primary School, School Road, Reepham, Norfolk, NR10 4JP, Synergy Multi Academy Trust 

- Astley Primary School, Fakenham Road, Briston, Melton Constable, Norfolk, NR24 2HH, Synergy Multi Academy Trust

As a result of the amalgamation of Corpusty Primary School and Reepham Primary School, Corpusty Primary School will be discontinued and will no longer require a catchment area.  

• The proposal is to divide the catchment area which served Corpusty Primary School across two neighbouring schools; Reepham Primary School and Astley Primary School.  

• All schools are feeder school for Reepham High School, therefore secondary provision will be unaffected.  

If agreed, these changes would come into effect from September 2026.
